Click and drag the nodes to resize the Text Box, or click on the line of the box and drag to move it around. Click the "Layout Options" icon to the right of the box, and then select either "Behind Text" or "In Front of Text" to enable you to move the text box around. Repeat Step 8 to insert "Falling Action" on the downward diagonal line and "Resolution" on the horizontal line. Right-click the text box and select "Copy." Right-click anywhere on the page and select the left icon under Paste Options, "Keep Source Formatting." Select the text in the box, type replace it with "Rising Action," click and drag the text box in place, and then click the arrow above the top middle node and drag to change the angle of the text to run parallel with the line. If you want the text to be smaller, select all of the text by double-clicking it, and then right-clicking the text and changing the font size. If it doesn't move, click the icon to the right of the text box, and then select "Behind text" or "In front of text" under Layout Options. Click the line of the text box itself, and then drag to move the box to the desired position. Click and drag any of the nodes to make the text box smaller. Type "Exposition" in the text box that appears. Press "shift" to keep the line straight.Ĭlick "Insert," select "WordArt" under the Text section, and then select a style that you like. Repeat Step 1 to draw a horizontal line to represent the resolution of the plot, starting from the end point of the falling action.
